The Roller Coaster of Jivan Dhakal Life
Jivan lives in Nepal at Biratnagar but his shop “Agro Machinery” lies in Rangeli a small municipality in the Morang district, Nepal. He travels 22 kilo Meter daily from Biratnagar to Rangeli to open his shop. This struggling man's passion comes from at a very young age when he was reading in grade 12 at a small village called Harakpur which lies in the kanepokhari ward of Morang district Nepal.
A short story he narrated to us by saying that,- in the year 2055 B.S as per Nepali date, he thought not to read more and start his own business at a very young age. The reason was simple, to settle fast and support his own parents from this income.
Beginning of Agro Machinery
In the year 2056 B.S, he started his hardware business Agro Machinery in Kanchanpur, Nepal, is a district of Nepal, not a town within another district. It is located in the Sudurpashchim Province with the Capital of Rs. One Lakh Nepali (estimated). He Started this journey with his brother Basu Dhakal and after a while he left the business it was a Partnership firm of two brothers later on he left the business and it is now single proprietor ship business for the year 2063 B.S. However business was going good and in the initial Years Business was in the break Even situation. After a while it started to make a good amount of profit and it was going good and suddenly there came a crisis in Nepal of Jana Andolan which is a so- called peoples movement in the year 2063 B.S for the existence of Nepal named as “Federal democratic Republic of Nepal”. Due to this Jivan business causes huge numbers of losses and disasters.
The Period of Break Through
After a disaster, he rebuilt his business in Rangeli, located in the Morang district of Nepal. This period was one of the most crucial times in his business journey because he experienced rapid growth and built a strong professional network. Initially, he started with a small range of bike parts and gradually expanded by connecting with different local garages in the area. This network made his work more flexible and efficient. For example, when bike owners faced mechanical issues, they visited local garages for repairs, and the required spare parts or machine oils were supplied from Jivan’s shop Agro Machinery. Similarly, when customers came to his shop to purchase bike parts, he referred them to those same garages for service. This mutual exchange built a sustainable and trustworthy relationship network, reflecting his strong management skills, dedication, and long-term business vision.
Counter Selling business
Agro Machinery is a type of counter-selling business as per his thought process, because it isn’t a digital business that sells through online platforms or websites. In his deeper vision, all his products are sold hand to hand and cash to cash, ensuring better product accountability and stability. However, we guided him on how to optimize his business through SEO to achieve a higher ranking in his local area, especially targeting the regions where many customers visit his shop daily. In this process, we helped him create and optimize his Google Business Profile, and also developed a professional portfolio website using Google Sites. These steps have made his business appear more relevant, trustworthy, and authentic in today’s digital era.

Unfortunate Accident
It was in the year 2073 B.S. when he was traveling from Biratnagar to Rangeli to open his shop. Unfortunately, he met with a serious bike accident that caused a major head injury and a hand fracture. He was hospitalized for treatment and had to wear a hand bandage for three long months.
After recovering and returning home, he rested for only 12 hours. The very next morning, he packed his tiffin and went back to his workplace, the Agro Machinery Shop. Despite the pain, he opened his shop because customers were waiting for him and trusted his service. His loyalty toward customers and commitment to his work inspired him to continue.
This event still gives goosebumps to today’s startup founders. Even with limited capital, his passion, dedication, and resilience showed one simple truth: work until your passion never fades from your mind or your heart.
The last
We have covered his inspirational story in a very short form to advocate the reader to work much more harder in their life or in the work which they are working. If you even have a small business in your local area, make it very strong and effectively deliver the service towards your customer and make them loyal and trustworthy towards them.
Jivan’s philosophy in business, he says “जीवनमा सबै कुरा सजिलै आउँदैन। तपाईंले सधैं धेरै पैसा कमाउनुहुन्न, तर जब तपाईं यसलाई कमाउनुहुन्छ, बुद्धिमानीपूर्वक लगानी गर्नुहोस्। राम्रो नियतका साथ काम गर्ने कुरामा विश्वास गर्नुहोस् र कहिल्यै सर्टकट नलिनुहोस् - त्यो सफलताको साँचो बाटो हो।”
