Oppo is preparing to bring the Reno 15 series to India, with expected upgrades in performance, camera and design. Here’s a look at the likely price, features and launch details.
After making its debut in China, the Oppo Reno 15 series is about to go official worldwide. In keeping with the brand's emphasis on imaging and long-term performance, the next Reno 15 will cater to consumers seeking camera-focused and creator-friendly features. Industry predictions indicate that the phone will hit the market in the upcoming weeks, even though Oppo has not formally disclosed when it will launch in India.
Anticipated cost in India
In China, the Reno 15 Pro debuted for CNY 3,699, or about Rs 46,000. Depending on RAM and storage options, the regular Oppo Reno 15 is anticipated to start at a lower price range, probably between Rs 32,000 and Rs 38,000. Although Oppo is anticipated to maintain the Reno lineup's competitiveness in the upper-mid sector, final pricing will be announced at launch.
Anticipated characteristics
It is anticipated that Oppo would prioritize thermal efficiency, camera improvements, and performance stability. Oppo's ColorOS 16 platform and sophisticated cooling systems designed for gaming and live streaming are highlights of the Reno 15 series worldwide. The Reno 15 in India is probably going to include three cameras, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, quick charging, and better heat dissipation for extended periods of video creation.
The standard model can have the following features based on the Reno 15 Pro's specifications:

The standard model can have the following features based on the Reno 15 Pro's specifications:
- A primary rear camera that has been adjusted for better clarity in low light.
- Secondary cameras with a wide angle and portrait focus.
- An autofocus front camera with AI-powered live streaming improvements.
- With quick wired charging, the battery has a capacity of about 5,000 mAh.
- Oppo uses AI to optimize performance for long-term smoothness.
It is anticipated that the design language will adhere to the flat-frame aesthetics of the Pro model, emphasizing comfort and thinness. Additionally, higher durability ratings and brighter displays are anticipated for the Reno 15 series. Oppo is marketing the Reno 15 as a choice for consumers interested in vlogging, mobile photography, and gaming in response to India's growing need for smartphones focused on creators.
Design and Display
The Reno15 Pro has a noticeably larger 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (2772 × 1272 pixels), which can reach up to 3600 nits of peak brightness and supports a smart 1–120Hz refresh rate with 240Hz touch sampling rate, in contrast to the vanilla Reno15's 6.32-inch display. Surprisingly, however, in contrast to the standard Reno15, this older sibling actually experiences low (2160Hz) high-frequency PWM dimming.
OPPO has added Crystal Shield Glass protection and maintained the ultra-narrow bezels at 1.15mm, just like the Reno15. The phone is available in three colorways: Canelé Brown, Honey Gold, and Starlight. The same holographic lithography is used in the Starlight version, which has a dancing bow design when you turn the phone. It is composed of transparent, fingerprint-resistant, high-gloss ice-clear glass. Additionally, the phone has IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. With cold-carved glass, a starlight mirror structure, and a sophisticated textured metal frame, OPPO has employed the same improvements in build quality.
Software and Performance
The Reno15 Pro shares a chipset with its predecessor, the Reno 14 Pro, in addition to using the same MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor as the standard model. It has a 4nm architecture, an octa-core CPU with a maximum speed of 3.25GHz, and a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. Likewise, it comes with up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The "Nano Ice Crystal Heat Dissipation system" is another feature of the OPPO Reno 15 Pro that helps control heat during prolonged use. Additionally, the phone comes pre-installed with ColorOS 16 and Android 16, just like the Reno15.
Camera
All of the sensors on the Reno15 Pro are identical to those on the standard model. A 200MP (1/1.56) sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS is used in the primary camera. With a 116° field of view and f/2.0 aperture, the ultra-wide camera's 50MP resolution is marginally wider than the standard Reno15's 112° FOV. The 50MP periscope telephoto camera has an f/2.8 aperture and 3.5X optical zoom with OIS. Every rear camera is capable of recording 4K video at 60 frames per second. Like the standard model, the front camera has a 50MP f/2.0 aperture and can record 4K video at 60 frames per second.
Battery
The standard Reno15 has a 6200mAh cell, but the Reno15 Pro has a larger 6500mAh battery. Given that the Pro model is physically larger, this discrepancy is to be expected. The true improvement here is the addition of 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging, which is not available with the standard Reno15. You still get 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging.
Extra Features
An infrared sensor, stereo speakers, USB Type-C audio compatibility, and an optical in-display fingerprint scanner are all included. The standard Reno15 has the same features. The Reno15 Pro has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, dual 4G VoLTE, and 5G SA/NSA connectivity.
